Announcements

StudioAbroad includes an announcements feature that allows staff members to post messages for both the public web site and program applications that are calendar based with optional links to full-page articles.  Imagine you plan an informational meeting for August 23rd in February.  Client logs in as an administrator to the website and inputs the meeting date.  The event will appear on the site's homepage until the day after the meeting when it will disappear.  In March, the meeting is the 5th item on the list because it is so far away.  As the other items expire, the meeting moves up the list towards the top.  On August 24th, the meeting disappears from the list.

The announcement feature in StudioAbroad is a good way to help plan, inform, and remind visitors and applicants about important events and information that relate to your office.  The easy management system of the feature makes these announcements a simple-yet-powerful method of keeping your site dynamic and eye-catching.

You can change the style, colors, and fonts of the announcements panel as well as assign a priority to announcements you want to appear at the top of the listing.  You can also create program-specific announcements that will appear in the announcements panel when a student views the application page for that program.
