Application searches

One of the keys to application management is the ability to search the application database with flexible criteria that is designed to produce results that can be used by a study abroad office.  The search results must be multi-purposed and wide-reaching.

StudioAbroad allows an administrator to create complex queries based on program, location (school/city/country), language, gender, school year, questionnaire answers, etc. for searching through the applications in the database.  For example, a staff member could query how many pending applications the institution has in the fall term of 2005 (across all programs), find the email addresses for all the students in Spain, the emergency contacts for all students in a certain program, etc.

These search results can be used to access applications for processing, but they can also be exported into a file for use in a spreadsheet or presentation program.  This list also can be used for sending out group emails to students with the specified criteria.
