Your Study Abroad Web Site
You have many options available with StudioAbroad for your main study abroad website. It all depends on what you need/want from the system. The 'configuration' list below describes the three most-common scenarios.
Currently, your students probably go to website with an address like http://www."YOUR_SCHOOL_NAME".edu/studyabroad. StudioAbroad can either replace this site for you or work in conjunction with it. Most study abroad offices do not have a database-driven solution that allows them to accept online applications, track student materials, etc and that is the functionality you are probably looking for. The list of 'minimums' in every scenario is the minimum configuration we expect most study abroad offices to use. The difference in each of the scenarios below deals with how you want your main site to look/work.

1.) Keep current website
Configuration: | We like our current site, but want to add the functionality listed in the 'minimums' category below. |
Minimums: | online application, materials tracking, online brochures, announcements, queries, student tracking, email, personal student pages, online review, online recommendations |
Solution: | All you have to do to keep your current site is to create a link from your current site to either the installed or hosted StudioAbroad application. |
2.) Website solution
Configuration: | We don't like the look of our current site and we don't know how to edit it. |
Minimums: | online application, materials tracking, online brochures, announcements, queries, student tracking, email, personal student pages, online review, online recommendations |
Solution: | You can use one of the provided templates to recreate your site. It will be easy to edit in the future (all pages are created/edited with a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor). |
3.) Customized website solution
Configuration: | We don't like our current site, but want something that is customized to match our university or office design AND we want it to be easily editable. |
Minimums: | online application, materials tracking, online brochures, announcements, queries, student tracking, email, personal student pages, online review, online recommendations |
Solution: | We create custom templates that work within our system for a one-time fee. The fee amount depends on your specifications and will be quoted prior to purchase. It will be easy to edit the custom template in the future (all pages are created/edited with a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor). |
